Wonderful support for our two Refugee Week films at Lucem House Community Cinema.

Thursday, we had the documentary A World Not Ours, which presented an intimate and often humorous (and heartbreaking) portrait of three generations of exile in the refugee camp of

Ein el-Helweh in southern Lebanon.

On Friday, we had "Everybody To Kenmure Street," a spirited and uplifting documentary that triumphantly captures a community's witty and determined stand against injustice through the power of collective action. What a reaction from our audience. Spontaneous applause!

Special thanks to Sana Dabbagh, who provided some wonderful context to the films and their messages.
